The characteristics of the dry alarm valve system are:

1. There is no water in the pipeline of the alarm valve, so it is not afraid of freezing or high temperature;

2. Due to the exhaust process after the nozzle moves, the fire extinguishing speed is slower than that of the wet system;

3. Because of the inflatable equipment, the construction investment is relatively high, and the usual management is also more complicated and demanding;

4. It is suitable for places where the environment is below 4 degrees Celsius and above 70 degrees Celsius, but the wet automatic sprinkler system cannot be used, such as cold and boiler rooms.


Dry alarm valve is an important part of dry automatic sprinkler system. It controls the valve and is used to put on or cut off the water supply and output alarm water flow.  Usually in the normally closed state, fire automatically open.  

The main valve is composed of valve body, inner seat ring, outer seat ring, disc assembly, valve cover and other parts.  The disc assembly and inner and outer seat divide the main valve into three parts: upper chamber, middle chamber and lower chamber.  The upper chamber is the valve chamber of the department above the closed valve disc, which is connected to the system pipe network and filled with pressure gas;  The middle cavity is closed valve disc and inner and outer seat ring surrounded by annular space, because the valve disc is closed outer seat ring and inner seat ring at the same time, so the middle cavity is not connected with the upper cavity, and not connected with the lower cavity, and through the hole and the atmosphere;  The lower chamber is the valve chamber below the closed valve disc, connected with the water supply side pipeline, and filled with pressure water.  

When the disc is closed, the action area of the lower chamber pressure water on the disc is smaller than that of the upper chamber pressure gas on the disc, and the ratio of the two is the differential ratio.  For example, the differential ratio of dry alarm valve is about 1:5.  It can be considered that the thrust generated by water pressure can be overcome by charging pressure of 1/4 water pressure and the valve disc can be closed.  According to the differential ratio, compare different water supply pressures.  

Disc assembly is an important part of the main valve of dry alarm valve, which is composed of disc body, disc gasket, pressure plate, clasp, tension spring and other parts.  

Disc gasket, is a key part of the assembly, because it is simultaneously external seat ring and inner seat ring seal, must ensure that the inner and outer ring surface is smooth, no mottled, scratch, dirt and other defects affecting the sealing performance, and must ensure that the combined with the inner and outer seat ring surface smooth, smooth.  When the sealing gasket is replaced due to damage, it must be replaced with the corresponding type of sealing gasket to prevent sealing problems.  

The function of the claw and the tension spring is to automatically reset the textile valve after opening. The special structure ensures that the claw can only rotate counterclockwise at a certain Angle.  When the disc is opened under the action of water pressure, the front end of the claw (upper) touches the reset axis of the external reset structure, and the claw rotates counterclockwise to avoid the reset axis, and does not impede the movement of the disc;  When the disc falls back due to its own weight, the front end of the claw (lower part) will also touch the reset shaft, because the claw can not turn clockwise, so the reset shaft will prevent the disc from falling back in succession to prevent the disc from automatic reset.  

Plates and bolts are used to secure gaskets and disc bodies.  When replacing the gasket, it is necessary to ensure that the pressure plate is smooth, not to damage the deformation, and not to stick dirt, and must ensure that the gasket and the valve body connection surface is smooth and clean.
